Trading Advice on Hanley Ramirez (WHIR)

Postby Dundoula » Wed Jul 20, 2011 1:23 pm

Hi. I'm looking to bolster my offense. I play in a 14 team H2H league and, although it is competitive, I never have problems finding solid SP off the waivers. Thus far, I'm undefeated in wins, strikeouts, and top 5 in ERA and WHIP while I'm upper middle in all hitting stats (except SB). I'm debating trading for Hanley Ramirez. The person who has him said he would consider trading him if CC was involved. What do you think I should offer? I know the chance to buy low on Hanley is gone but he could easily produce top 10 #'s the rest of the season. He is #4 on the month (according to Yahoo). I'm thinking of proposing something like CC, Yunel, and Joyce for Hanley and a closer. I'm not desperate for a closer but a lot of people are so I could package that closer with a SP for a SP upgrade to another team. Your thoughts? I really appreciate your help. If you want advice on any trades/moves, please let me know.

Give it a whirl. The guy might balk at Joyce as he's cooled considerably but you could replace him with another player.

How many OF do you use? Why does he only have 1 OF?
Do not trade CC too big a hit to your staff. Yuck.
3b Nelson Cruz really? I got a laugh from that one.
