Hey guys, I've been offered a couple intriguing deals here. First, I was offered Albert Pujols for my Jered Weaver. Interesting, but Weaver is amazing, and i'm not sure my pitching can take the hit. I've ALSO been offered Dan Haren for my Jay Bruce. I have NO clue what to do about these deals. Should I take one/both/neither? 12 team standard yahoo league, 4 man keeper.

Peter: No, I'm just exhausted 'cause I've been up all night drinking.
Hmm..as said by Mortician on this one. Pujols is far better than Bruce and you won't suffer much of a drop off with Haren vs Weaver. Considering we are facing a similar deal (Pujols/Weaver,) could you give me your thoughts on my deal?
Heck, I would take both deals without thinking twice. Weaver is sick, but Haren is right there with him, and Pujols is definitely better than Bruce. Take Pujols for Weaver and grab Haren for Bruce.
I'd take the Pujols deal. Pujols is still a top-20 guy, and I always take good hitting over good pitching.
...which means I would pass on the Haren-Bruce deal. I think Bruce is going to have a great second half, and I'm not sure you need the pitching from Haren.
My question when it comes to a keeper league is always:
Who would you plan on keeping pre-trade?
Who would you plan on keeping post-trade?
Based on your roster...I see your 4 keepers pre-trade as: 1. Mark Teixeira 2. Andrew McCutchen 3. Cliff Lee 4. Jered Weaver
If you dealt Weaver for Pujols, obviously I'd keep Pujols in the slot you lose in Weaver. If you dealt Bruce (a non-keeper), I'd actually think long and hard about keeping Haren over Cliff Lee (sounds crazy, but Haren's numbers have looked very good since joining the Angels). So that's potentially 2 keepers for the price of 1. The only way I do this is if I take both trades, because you're getting a pitcher and hitter for a pitcher and a hitter. It's balanced, and I like it on your end.
