Drop Anyone to Stash Chipper? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Tue Jul 19, 2011 2:17 pm

I might want to grab Chipper Jones with A-Rod out for a while. Who should I drop to stash Chipper? Alternately, I could hold off with Chipper and put in a claim for John Danks or Brennan Boesch. Thoughts?

Eh, don't see much reason to pick Chipper up. If anything, you should strongly consider picking up Boesch for Young.

I agree with RedHopeful, I would consider dropping Young or Jemile Weeks for Boesch.
If you really need help at 3B though and you dont think Bonifacio will be able to keep up his current hot streak then I can understand grabbing Chipper. But with the way Bonifacio has been playing I would go after Boesch.

Having 7 SP is enough depth. I'd cut Lilly for Chipper if it means that much.

SP R. Halladay
SP F. Hernandez
SP T. Hanson
P Z. Greinke*
BN Y. Gallardo
BN T. Cahill
BN B. Norris
(Zimm shut down)

If you really want the 8th pitcher I'd dump Young for Boesch and Lilly for Chipper or another 3b.
