12 Team Keeper (4-8 Keepers) - Rotisserie - 6x6 (OPS and Losses as extra cats)
C- Miguel Montero
1B- Miguel Cabrera
2B- Kelly Johnson
3B- Aramis Ramirez
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
OF- Jay Bruce
OF- Andre Ethier
OF- Drew Stubbs
Utl- Shane Victorino
Utl- Coco Crisp
B- Emilio Bonifacio
B- Mark Trumbo
B- Carlos Lee
B- Domonic Brown
SP- CC Sabathia
SP- Zack Greinke
RP- Huston Street
RP- John Axford
P- Sergio Santos
P- Mark Melancon
P- Jordan Zimmermann
P- Madison Bumgarner
B- Anibal Sanchez
B- Ricky Nolasco
B- Hiroki Kuroda
A pitching heavy team offered me the following deal:
I give: Ethier OR Stubbs
I get: Gio Gonzalez OR Matt Cain, and a closer: Papelbon/Feliz/Nunez/Farnsworth/Walden
My team is doing great across the board in offense (10-12 pts in everything but SB which is a 6) and is struggling in ERA (7) and WHIP (5). I'm ok in Wins (8.5) and Losses (8), great in Ks (12 by alot) and good in Saves (10).
I like the idea of trading Ethier for Gio Gonzalez and Papelbon/Feliz but I feel that I'd need to trade a pitcher for some offensive help if I did that. I've been shopping guys like Zimmermann around but nobody seems to be biting (offering for guys like BJ Upton, Chris Young, package deals for Sandoval, Pence, Kinsler, etc.)
My question is, should I do this deal even if I can't trade one of my other SPs for good offensive help?
(Sorry for the novel, but WHIR if I can. Any advice is appreciated.)

Better worded question: should I do this trade now and worry about dumping pitching later, or only do this deal if I have another trade lined up? Or don't do it at all?

I'd trade Eithier for Gio and Papelbon(Most secure closer you listed)
Try and add J Zimm or any of your bench pitchers to see what else you can get out of him if he is interested

I'd actually trade Ethier for Cain and Papelbon. Cain will help you more with WHIP and is more consistent overall. Can you get any thing for Grienke? You might as well keep Zimmermann instead of settling for a low-ball offer.
Help me?

I like Ethier for Cain and Papelbon. Thats very good value for Ethier- a top closer and Cain has been great this year.
Lend a hand?

Was just counter-offered Sandoval for Greinke straight up. Not sure about that.

A lot of people like Greinke down the stretch. He's killed me of late, but he gets a ton of K's and if he can stop giving up so many HRs he'd be a beast again. It's a thinker. Maybe he can include a closer too?

Alright well putting the Greinke trade aside for now...
Does everyone think that Ethier for Gio/Cain and Papelbon is a good deal for me? And which of Gio and Cain would be better for me (keeping in mind that ERA and WHIP are my biggest weaknesses and Ks aren't a concern)?
