Trade for Chris Carpenter WHIR

I want to make a deal with a non-contender for some pitching help. Chris Carpenter is in his last keeper year. Should I trade Jordan Zimmermann and Delmon Young for Carpenter? Another option is Konerko for Carpenter, but I'd rather hang onto the power bat for down the stretch. Would either or one be a good deal?

Konerko would be way too much, but I guess Zimm/Young would be alright. Neither one is a keeper for you, and Zimm is going to be reigned in a bit down the stretch. Delmon Young has looked fairly good since coming off the DL, but I understand your desire to grab another arm.

Young can be replaced by Weeks, and eventually A-Rod. Carpenter is a decent piece, and will provide good stats, but probably not any better than Zimm, it's just that he has no innings cap, and will have more starts than Zimm.
