Jurrjens/Bourn for Price/Peralta?? WHIR

My team is listed in my sig. I offered JZimm/Madson/Bourn for Price and Peralta, and he said that he was interested, but wanted me to swap out Madson and make the deal a little better. Do you think I upped it too much? I'd be getting an upgrade at SP. I'd be swapping out Bourn's speed and runs for Peralta's power/AVG (if we think he'll keep it up). I could also try and still build the trade around JZimm.


Any suggestions?

Jurrjens/Born for Price/Peralta isn't bad if you are solid with your speed and need the pop.

I'm trying to see how this helps your team. Price will get your more K's then Jurrjens, but that's about it. Peralta, not sure he can be trusted, you have Bautista at 3B, so are you trying to upgrade SS? I'm not seeing Peralta as an upgrade over Aybar.........

Well K's are the only area my team really struggles. I have a stupid amount of steals (in first by 40 steals), and I have a much smaller lead in RBI than my other offensive categories. I figured I could swap between Peralta and Aybar depending on if I need power or speed in my matchup, and I can more than afford to lose the R and SB. I also would trust Price more than Jurrjens down the stretch

What's important to keep in mind is JZimm has about 45 innings left in his innings limit for the year, so now is as good a time than ever to try and get some value for him. That said, the trade you listed can really go either way. If I were you, I'd probably take the deal, but would totally understand if you denied it.

Jurrjens has to come back to earth soon, so I'd take the Price deal as well, but it's nothing that gets me all excited.

This being the case, I guess I would go ahead and make this deal. Close in terms of value. On the surface, I would rather have the Bourne side, but seeing as you have the lead in speed, this will probably help you a bit more than Jurjenns and Biurn.
