Hey all, I was proposed a deal in my 12 team, mixed keeper league. I give up Matt Holliday for Elvis Andrus and Cole Hamels, and wanted to know your opinion.. You get five keepers, and lose the round you drafted them in in the upcoming draft. Example - If I kept Uggla, I would lose my fourth round pick. Thanks, and def WHIR. C- Y. Molina 1B- A. Gonzalez 2B - Uggla 3B - Young SS - D. Barney 2B/SS - D. Espinosa 1B/3B/ - C. Pena OF- M. HOlliday OF - J. Bruce OF- A. Pagan OF - Ichiro Utl - Boesh Bench - A. Rizzo Bench - D. Murphy P - Lester P - Price P - Nolasco P. Latos P - F. Francisco P -Salas P - Capps P- Bastardo I stream the rest

I want more info. What rounds did you draft everyone on your team? Is Holliday a keeper? Would Hamels be a keeper? Would Andrus be a keeper? My initial reaction to this deal is YES, but I want more information.

In this league, you get five total keepers. My potential keepers Adrian - 1st round Holliday - 2nd Round Lester - 3rd round Bruce - 5th round Price - 6th round Hamels - 6th round Andrus - 6th round If I kept Price, Hamels and Andrus, Id lose my 6th, 7th, and 8th in next years draft. Another concern of mine is my place in the standings, fourth. My roto points R HR RBI SB AVG K W SV ERA WHIP 10 10 9 9 5 7 6 6 3 4 Thank you for the help

I think you do the trade then. Hamels and Andrus as keepers in those rounds (6th/7th) is very good. And Holliday in the 2nd round is not as good value as both Hamels/Andrus in their given rounds, so I think what you're giving up is justified. In terms of which player you wouldn't keep out of those 6...I don't know. I'm not sure who has the least value. Maybe Bruce in the 5th?

yeah Holliday only has value for this year...keeping in place of a 2nd rounder doesn't make that much sense. Can you keep Young? Where was he drafted? Not in love with Hamels, but that's solid value, and good players you could keep..especially andrus (hint don't keep uggla)

From your roto standings, it looks like this is a good move for you this year, and going forward.

Great move, in both present and future cases. Your roto points for hitting are solid enough to justify, plus the keeper angle. Do it.
