Isn't Venters the drop here? He doesn't close, and he won't close ever this year. Parnell, even if Izzy is given the chance at first, will ultimately close out games for the Mets when Izzy gets dealt as well.
I'd keep Parnell and ditch Venters.
Yeah that's my bad, I looked over Venters by mistake. He would be the better drop over Parnell imo, since I dont see Kimbrel losing the job at any point this season.

Well the good news is this week I'm facing a team that threw out saves and has no closers, so I have a few days to try and work out a trade before I need Madson again, since I'll get at least 1 save from one of my other guys (hopefully)

Yeah working a deal would be the most ideal thing for you to do, since you will get some value in return instead of just dropping a guy.
