Postby khey05 » Fri Jul 15, 2011 11:52 am

This is a 12 team - H2H Dynasty League with 6x6 cats. (R,HR,RBI,SB,TB,Avg. x W,SV,K, HLD,ERA,WHIP)

I know Longo is having a down year so far, but would it be wise to do this deal?
The guy Im trading with is out of contention and reloading for the future. I want to make a run at the title this year

I GET:
Evan Longoria (0 guaranteed, up to 5 yrs control. Would pay max contract to keep him)
Grant Balfour (0)

I GIVE:
Julio Teheran (2 guaranteed, up to 7 yrs control)
Justin Smoak (1 guaranteed, up to 6 yrs control)
Adam Dunn (0)

The numbers next to each players above represents how many years each player will be on the roster after this year.

My roster:
C: Matt Wieters
1B: Justin Smoak
2B: Chase Utley
SS: Starlin Castro
3B: Kevin Youlkilis - Would move to 1st if I acquire Longo
OF: Matt Kemp
OF: Colby Rasmus
OF: Justin Upton
Ult: Mike Stantion
Bench: Adam Dunn, Chase Headley, Juan Uribe
DL: Brian Roberts

SP:
King Felix
John Lester
Tommy Hanson
Wandy Rodriguez
Justin Masterson
Josh Beckett
Edison Volquez
Madison Bumgarner

RP:
Joakim Soria,
Sergio Santos
Andrew Bailey
Aroldis Chapman
DL,Inactives: Jake McGee, Brandon Lyon

Yes, of course you take that offer. Take that in keeper, non keeper, football, whatever.

I think you do the trade too. Teheran could end up being the best player in this deal, but in terms of immediate impact, you're giving up two horribly sluggish bats for someone who has been underperforming (granted, the same could be said for Dunn).

I still like this deal for you.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I also agree, take the offer.

Longo is clearly the best player of the deal, is the face of the franchise, is younger than most think, and plays a fairly weak position in a few years.

Dunn has been garbage and wont help you hence forth, and you can just shift Youk to 1st (granted he should lose that eligability next year as he hasnt played at 1st this year for Boston).

That is the only mitigating factor, Youk's eligability next year.

PLease help me out

go for it...longoria not a bad guy to max on...

might as well try to win....young SPs are no guarantee anyhow. Scherzer was a beast and he is pretty good not ridiculous...just saying proven bats are worth more.
