teheran/hudson for zimmerman/hellickson

Postby crudbucket36 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 9:19 pm

I was just offered teheran/hudson for zimmerman/hellickson in my espn keeper league. I'm seriously considering this but wanted to get some opinions. Zimmerman would be a potential keeper at the end of the season. However, if I trade for teheran, I won't need to use a keeper slot on him as he would be a 1st year keeper. I have no plans to do anything with hellickson and have been shopping him due to his low strikeout rate. And zimmerman only has 45 innings left to pitch this season. What do you all think?

I think it is a fine trade. (which Hudson by the way?) You shouldn't have a problem replacing Zimmermann as a keeper.

Given the folks you already have at SP, Zimmermann not a big loss...I'd do it.

Hudson (either actually) will provide more value this season than Zimm or Hellickson...Obviously Teharan is great.

Yeah I would do it. Teheran is one of the top 3 pitching prospects, maybe the best.

But you wouldn't keep Teheran would you?

C VMart
1B P. Fielder
2B Pedroia
MI B. Phillips ( I could possibly see tossing him out for Teheran or one of your younger closers like Santos or Cordero if you wanted to)...in your shoes I'd be trying to trade to get a keeper 3b.

I wouldn't keep any of your closers or much aging shaky arms, these 12 are a solid set of keepers. Unless somehow closers are ridiculous overvalued/coveted in your league.

Huddy isn't a keeper anymore with all those other arms you have, but Teheran might be providing Lowe is dealt. Beachy is another issue too.

Try a package of Beltran, Carpenter, Philips and Pineda for
Longoria, Stanton, and maybe a Cozart/Andrus/Gordon
