Well, I would be giving up Alexi - But its to get a more solid starter. I have a very strong offense and already own Starlin Castro.

This is a decent trade for you...You are upgrading an SP and giving up your 2nd SS and a closer who may lose his job. You might be able to do better than Gio, but its not a bad trade.

Bastardo is back to his lefty-specialist role, and has little value in this format.

Alexei is a very frustrating SS who also seems to fall short of expectations, plus you already have Castro.

Hellickson...bleh. Great time to sell on him. I'm not confident in him at all yet.

I'd like to you grab someone a bit better than Gio, but with what you're giving up (not much), I think Gio is about the best you can do. I'd probably do this for Gio.

To me personally, this deal reaks of desperation. Although I do not know the format of your league, I still like keeping A-Ram, Hellickson and Bastardo.

Bastardo still has value, as Madson has blown up more than once in his career. Hellickson will garner wins on a very good Tampa Club which still has games against Balt, Toronto and the Dregs of the AL. Alexi, while maddening, still always produces about the marginal shortstop.

PLus, im not high on Gio haha, so bias MAY have crept in.
