Looking to put together a list of the top 5 guys not closing today, who will be closing by the end of the month. I know about the closers thread, but there is a lot to wade through there.
My thoughts.
1. Mike Adams - Bell gets traded away 2. Parnell (Assuming Izzy is the closer now) - Izzy either gets traded or just can't handle it. 3. Crow - Soria likely to be traded 4. Motte - Can Salas really keep up being the closer. 5 . Lots of options here - Nathan, Koji, Chapman
Izzy is not going to take over as the Mets closer. The franchise looks at Bobby Parnell as their closer of the future and is quite content with his 97-100 mph fastball.
As a Cards fan, I can tell you Motte won't be a closer anytime soon. everyone knows what's coming, fastballfastballfastballfastball. He doesn't really have a secondary pitch. Sanchez or Boggs would get another chance before Motte does, but I think Salas has it locked down.
Adams - Bell is gone. Parnell - K-rod has been sent Dunn - Nunez is gone Crow - Soria is gone Nathan - I think Capps is just one meltdown away from being yanked.

Latest reports suggest otherwise. Padres want an elite prospect in return, and that probably won't happen.
1. Adams 2. Parnell (although I think he's all but got the job now) 3. Dunn 4. Crow 5. Chapman (CoCo won't be back next year; might as well give Chapman a look)
