this trade would give me two closers because i have none, and i would have agon at util instead of reynolds, however, i lose out on the sps...losing halladay CC kennedy hellboy but getting cain bills and sanchez......hellickson is worthless to me because of his playoff sched and cain gets to play the padres twice i think.......is it worth it to take the hit at sp?

I don't really like this trade, but.... you get closers which you need. and agon. your lineup would be stellar. your pitching would take a huge hit, but would be more diverse. I would be hesitant.

Could you work out a trade with some of your bench players for a closer or two? Gonzalez is a big time bat, but your lineup is pretty solid. I'd hate to give up that much pitching.

Wow, this is a tough one. Picking up AGon is huge, and you need closers....but. You lose a lot in SP with Halladay and CC. Mike Adams will likely be a closer in the near future, so if you can adjust the trade a little to hold onto either CC or Halladay and only pick up one closer, I would. In a shallow league, there should be stop gaps available. I am in a 12 team league with rosters a bit larger then average and have picked up Hernandez, Rauch, and Parnell in the last couple of weeks. None are huge, but Hernandez has done better then expected. You may be able to pick up some saves from free agency without having to lose both Halladay and CC.

What about CC, Kennedy, Hellickson, Freeman, Reynolds for AGon, Cain, Farnsworth and use the extra spot to pick up a stopgap closer?

Although you are giving up 2 stud pitchers Lincy, Kershaw and Cain still gives you a strong pitching staff. You've filled holes at certain positions and add a huge bat. It is a good deal for you IMO.

I would see if you can include Lincecum instead of Halladay OR CC in this deal, if it hasn't already been done.

But I definitely understand your desire to do this deal. I'm just wary of giving up 2 of the best 5 pitchers in the game right now.

I'm also too concerned about the loss in SP. Agon is great but you already have MCab so it's not like 1B is a concern, he would just be a stud utility.
