Better Bench Bat than Quentin? WHIR

I'm looking for someone that helps in more than 2 categories for my bench spot. Here are some options:

Gaby Sanchez - 1B
Matt Joyce - OF
Coco Crisp - OF
Ryan Roberts - 1B-2B-3B-OF
Emilio Bonafacio - 3B-OF
Dustin Ackley - 2B-OF
Derek Jeter - SS

I was leaning towards Gaby Sanchez as better balance over Quentin or someone like Ackley or Ackley/Roberts that gives me better diversification by position eligibility?? Thoughts?

I think I would stay with Carlos Q....I feel like he has the most potential of that group.

I like Quentin also.. but if youre dead set on moving him, i'd take sanchez.

Well I just blew things up with a trade. I sent my Justin Upton-Carlos Quentin-Josh Beckett-Brian Wilson to my buddy for Matt Kemp-Wandy Rodriguez-Jonathan Papelbon.

I love getting Kemp in the deal. I was going to drop Quentin anyway, Papelbon-Wilson are about a wash, and I obviously lost out on Beckett-Wandy but I'm not a huge pitching fan because my league allows me to stream anyway.

Now that I have a void on the bench spot, I think I'll grab Gaby Sanchez for now...

I was going to suggest going for Sanchez anyways, so it sounds like you made a good move. Kemp is a stud.

Great trade on your part, and believe it or not Wandy/Beckett aren't THAT far off in terms of value and performance.

I like Gaby, but if you wanted multiple cat's and versatility, Ryan Roberts, even though he is currently in a platoon with Burroughs, could be good for 10-10 over the second half. He'll get his ABs, I'm not worried.
