Roster is at bottom. About a month ago I evaluated my team and decided they were horrible and had no chance to contend against some very solid teams in the league. I traded pretty much all of my pitching in an effort to get 4 top-tier keepers for next season and beyond (Miggy, Votto, Reyes, and not sure of 4th yet).
My team has since climbed to 7th place (top six make playoffs), so if I can get some pitching depth back w/out compromising my keepers, I'd like to.
Offer on the table:
My Holliday and Arroyo
for
Lester, Cahill, and Derek Lowe _____
Lester's injury makes me nervous, but he's obviously a stud. The other team has CC, so I'm hoping I can get him instead of Lester and I'd make the trade.
Thoughts??? Should I just stand pat, hope that when Reyes gets back I can crush teams w/ offense and get lucky on a few pitching stats each week? ________
C - McCann 1B - M. Cabrera 2B - Ackley SS - Theriot 3B - Zimmerman OF - Ellsbury, OF - Holliday OF - A. Jones UTIL - Votto BN - Wigginton, D. Jennings, B. Harper DL - Reyes
SP - Scherzer, Pavano, Niese, Gee, Arroyo, Porcello, Vargas RP - Sergio Santos, Fernando Salas DL - Johan Santana, Broxton
Is Holliday going to be a keeper? Looking at your team, you have Harper on your bench, so I'm assuming you're keeping him, because he isn't going to sniff the bigs this year. So if you can swap CC I say you do this deal. Wondering what bats and pitchers are on your wire.
You should probably keep Harper, so Holliday seems to be expendable. If you can get CC in the deal I'd do it. If you're getting Lester, I don't like it nearly as much.

+1. Try and get CC, then this is a great deal for you.
I think you should counter-propose with Your Holliday and Arroyo for his Sabathia and Cahill.
