I'm in a 12 team H2H Yahoo keeper league(we keep 10). My team is currently in 6th place. 6 teams make the playoffs.
I send: Votto and J Upton 1 get: Pujols, Youkillis, Strasburg and a Hi round draft pick.
I would like to know your thoughts?
C Chris Iannetta 1B Joey Votto 2B Jemile Weeks 3B Ryan Zimmerman SS José Reyes LF Nelson Cruz CF Curtis Granderson RF Justin Upton Util Chris Young BN Jorge Posada BN Alex Gordon BN Adam Dunn BN Brett Lawrie BN Daniel Murphy DL Delmon Young
SP Max Scherzer SP Yovani Gallardo SP Bartolo Colón RP Brandon League RP Matt Thornton RP Sean Marshall P Huston Street P Josh Beckett P Chris Resop BN Jonathon Niese DL Erik Bedard
Who would be your RF after the deal Young? Youk brings a nice upgrade to 3b or UTL for you. Pujols and Votto kinda push. Though Votto is younger and more years of top shelf production are expected.
Your only keeper pitcher iMO is gallardo. So I can see the wanting to get Strasburg.
You have offensive keepers
1b-Votto 3b-Zimmerman SS-Reyes LF-Cruz CF-Grand RF-Upton UTL-Young BN Lawrie SP Yovani Gallardo RP Huston Street would probably be your 10 now right.
If you did the deal it would look like:
1b-Pujols 3b-Zimmerman SS-Reyes LF-Cruz CF-Grand RF-Young UTL-Youk BN Lawrie or Gordon SP Yovani Gallardo RP Huston Street or Eric Bedard
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
I think it's a pretty even trade, with you coming out slightly on top. If it were me I'd go ahead and take the deal. As noted above, you lose a few years of top-level production from Votto to Pujols, but you could really use Strasburg on your staff.

I think Cruz is Rf eligible at least he was at the bgining of 2011.
You left out Strasburg as a keeper if the deal is made. My team would look like:
1b-Pujols 3b-Zimmerman SS-Reyes LF/RF-Cruz CF-Grand CF-Young 1B/3B Youk BN Lawrie or Gordon( most likely Lawrie) SP Yovani Gallardo SP Strasburg
if you could send chris young or alex gordon then this would be amazing and keep justin upton hes got 8 -9 years of top level production in him if he stays healthy keeping ten its like a dynasty basically so forget you getting a high pick each guy keeps 10 the top 120 are kept then theres a draft so theres not much talent left when you guys redraft
id stay with what you have votto really impressed me winning an mvp and hasnt slumped at all this year knowing the pitchers were gonna make adjustments and watch tons of film on him now thats hes a supreme superstar in the mlb and hed have a tough adjustment period nope powers down a little but whos perfect
I don't like it. I like Votto with his age better in a keeper if there are no limits in years over Pujols. Strasburg is a HUGE if. I don't think I'm going to trade two young bats on an if. Youklis is great when healthy, but no way an upgrade over Upton.
