I take it that this is some kind of dynasty or keeper league otherwise Strasbugh wouldn't even be a factor in this trade. I think team "A" is giving up a lot. At the begining of this season Shields went undrafted in most leagues. If Shields continues his success in the 2nd half, I'll be a beliver in 2012. Right now Shields is just a pitcher having a good first half. Longoria is still a 1st rounder. Even if Shields continues his ways, he will be at best a 2nd rounder next year.

It is not a keeper league but Strasburg will likely make a few starts this year.

Redraft I think it's close - pretty big buy-low, sell-high type of deal, but certainly one that is intended to help both teams and isn't unfair in any way. Contrary to the above posters nonchalance about it probably being a keeper/dynasty league, I'd be crying collusion until the cows came home if someone dealt Strasburg and Longo for Shields ...
