I'm losing Reyes for at least 3 weeks here...looking to add some insurance at SS.
I've got Cabrera but underwhelmed there. I've got a buddy who's enamored with Escobar and shopping Jeter. He wants Boesch.
Boesch has far out-pointed Jeter so far but looking at remaining season projections, Jeter comes out a little ahead (and he definitely has added position value). Boesch really struggled in the 2nd-half last year and I expect Jeter to be "solid" after he finally hits 3,000 but...would I be better just letting Cabrera be a stopgap for me and keep the emerging Boesch?
i think its a slam dunk if u can play jeter and reyes together when reyes returns
if not though id use a rag to stop the bleeding for now LoL
im tottally for jeter having a great second half whens the last year he had a horrible second half like 07 and brennan is still young and mental wear and tear can catch up to him
Yeah, we've got two UTI slots so I could play them both. Boesch has been one of UTI's most of the year (with some spot starts in the OF) so that was part of my thinking in considering this offer.
I've got Reyes and Cabrera at SS (0-Cab can play 2B and 3B too). I've got Holliday, Stanton, Boesch, Huff, Hunter, Cuddyer, Swisher and Prado eligible at OF. I've got Cuddyer as my starting 2B and Prado on the DL right now. The rest are filling-out my OF and UTI slots.
I'd like to see the rest of your roster b4 chiming in... but on the surface, Boesch has been fantastic and it would be a shame to lose him for a stopgap option. Although u could trade Jeter for another solid of once Reyes comes back. One more important factor... is this a keeper/dynasty?
