Sandoval/Pagan/S Smith for R Zimmerman/Morse?

10 Team H2H League.

Just want to confirm before i pull the trigger to make this trade. I already have Longoria at 3B, so Zimmerman would be my UTIL. Any thoughts that i shouldnt?

I give:
Pablo Sandoval, 1b/3b - SF
Angel Pagan, OF - NYM
Seth Smith, OF - COL

I Get:
Ryan Zimmerman, 3B - WAS
Michael Morse, OF - WAS

Pablo has been on fire which is why this owner wants, him, but i'm thinkin i just pull the trigger and then can trade Zimmerman when he gets a hot streak since i have Evan Longoria. Thoughts?

I think this would hurt your team. Sandoval is good...call it a hot streak but its not a fluke. Pagan is a great source of speed and overall decent player and Smith is an elite player (against righties). Banking on the chance of Zimmerman heating up and that you'll be able to get a better return is too risky.

I agree. I really like Morse in this deal, but I feel like you are giving up too much just to bank on the fact that Ryan Zimmerman will return to form. You should be able to get someone who has proven they can produce this year.

I am against team stacking anyway. Though Zimmerman is more proven to be given up on just yet.

I hope there are plenty of owners jumping ship on him b/c 3b is so hard to fill.

Most would agree that Seth Smith is not an "elite" player. Also, when it comes to Pagan, I believe his lack of power in an already weak lineup is not sufficiently compensated by his ability to steal bases. Both of these players are easily replaceable and find themselves roaming around the waiver wire in most leagues. The only valuable player that you'd be dealing is Sandoval, who has indeed been very good, but is susceptible to injury and prolonged slumps.

Going against what everyone else has said, I would make this trade because you do not have much to lose.
