Lots of prospects on my keeper league roster?

I am in a Keeper league with the following parameters listed below.

I need to trim my roster and I am looking for some advice on which prospects
to hold and which I could let go and hope to draft next year?

I currently have these prospects on my active roster and ranked in this order:


Eric Hosmer (KC - 1B)
Dustin Ackley (Sea - 2B,OF)
Alex Presley (Pit - OF)
Lonnie Chisenhall (CLE - 3B)
Anthony Rizzo (SD - 1B)
Desmond Jennings (TB - OF)NA
League:

16 teams
4 keepers
head to head
4 divisions- each division winner getting a playoff spot and the remaining 4 teams getting spot based on overall league record.

Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Strikeouts (K), Total Bases (TB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base Percentage (OBP)
Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Total Bases Allowed (TB), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Quality Starts (QS)

Here's how I rank those prospects based off what I've seen from them this year:

1. Hosmer
2. Desmond Jennings
3. Dustin Ackley
4. Alex Presley (havent seen much of him though honestly)
5. Lonnie Chisenhall
6. Anthony Rizzo

I'd say Hosmer, Ackley, and Jennings would be worth holding onto. Possibly Rizzo as well. Would be more helpful seeing the rest of your team.

If you only keep 4 I'd honestly say u could prob lose all of them minus prob Hosmer. Agree w/above though would have to see ur whole team. I'd understand owning this many prospects in a dynasty league but in a 4 keeper idk.

I know I keep all these prospects, but frankly my team Sh*t the bed a long time ago. But since I picked up these guys I have srtrung a couple of winning weeks together. Just trying to decide who is worth it in the long run?? Hosmer and jennings i think could bring the most value this year.

Im assuming you dont have any draft penalties for your keepers? Just any 4 you choose?
if so you should be keeping Stanton and Lee without any doubt, and probably Gallardo as well.
That would leave room for only Hosmer.

Hosmer and Ackley are the only 2 i really see contributing to your team this season, altho Jennings is probably more valuable than Ackley next season if he gets a starting job.
But Hosmer clearly has the most potential at this point.


i have a similar keeper situation but with more choices, care to comment?

Ackley is a beast and should be kept, Jennings is a bit away. Hosmer and Rizzo are also legit. Presley eh.

Thanks to all for the advice. In my league we just pick 4 and keep them. We don't have draft penalties, but we are looking to put some into the league. Other than not allowing a team to hold on to a player for a number of seasons, have you found any other penalties that work in keeper leagues? Thanks again..
