Dan Harens value as the year progresses?

Postby DattKemp27 » Thu Jun 30, 2011 6:29 pm

What is an estimate for how good Haren will be. I have James Shields and Jurrjens, will he have a stronger second half then them?

He traditionally breaks down and takes a dump after he allstar break. But he looks good and is the #2 to weaver so hopefully he stays strong. He's probably more reliable than the other 2

the 2nd half "slumps" Haren has experienced are way overblown, and due more to random variance than any real decline in skill over the course of the season.
Last year for example he had a much better second half even after moving to a tougher league to pitch in.
I would value Haren in the top 12 of all SP, 8-10 spots above Shields, and way above Jurrjens (who i think is due for some serious regression.)
