Tulo/Hamels/Starlin trade help. WHIR!

Postby onitapgr » Thu Jun 30, 2011 5:33 pm

12 Team Rotisserie league, standard 5x5 scoring....keep any 10 players indefinitely...There is a 1500 IP limit (I am above pace by 40 innings)

I am currently in first place with 90.5 points broken down like so:

Runs 12 pts / HR 12 / RBI 12 / SB 8 / AVG 9 / W 3 / SV 11 / K 8.5 / ERA 7 / WHIP 8

So I am very strong in HR, Runs, and RBI's.....but to win the year, I think I need to improve W, ERA and WHIP.

Should I trade away Troy Tulowitzki, Hellickson and Colby Lewis

for

Hamels and Starlin Castro?

If not, where should I take a hit to gain W, ERA, WHIP?

First off, the trade you listed is very bad for you, don't even consider it.

Secondly, you do have a lot of power, so I might try to spin Chris Young for a top pitcher. You are looking at guys like Gio/Morrow/Cueto, guys on that level.

I completely agree. Dont do the original trade, you are not getting nearly enough value in return.

Chris Young is a great fantasy player, so you should put him on the trade block and see who is interested.

thanks for the help with mine.

stay away. Not a good trade for you. Sometimes the best move to make is no move at all
