Im in a 14-team H2H Keeper League. Im sitting at second place, but Ive been playing some horrible teams lately and Im not sure if my team is enough to win.
Im repeating last year strategy that gave me the title. Im trying to have the best lineup possible and trying to add average SPs to the mix, not ace type of pitchers. And I punted SVs category.
My questions:
1) Ive been offered Logan Morrison and the 8th pick for my Bud Norris and the 10th pick.
2) Should I drop anyone on my team to get David Freese?
3) Is Cano worth Pedroia and Cargo?
My roster:
C - C. Ianetta 1B - M. Cabrera 2B - D. Pedroia 3B - E. Longoria SS - E. Andrus OF - M. Kemp. C. Gonzalez, C. Hart, C. Crisp Util - C. Peña
SPs - R. Romero, F. Liriano, E. Bedard, B. Beachy, R. Nolasco, B. Norris, M. Leake, B. Myers, J. Niese, B. Morrow and F. Garcia.
Answers are NO, NO and NO. Why do you need Cano? You have Pedroia. You don't need Logan Morrison your outfield is stacked. Sounds like someone is trying to get over on you.
No way on the Morrison deal. If I was gonna pick up Freese I would drop one of your bottom feeder pitchers like Nolasco, Myers, or Niese. And NO WAY would I give up both Pedroia and C Gonzalez for Cano.

M. Cabrera + Rd. 7 pick
for
N. Cruz, L. Morrisson, B. Matusz and Rd. 10 pick
Terrible trade for you, you're giving up the best player in the deal and a higher pick. Morrison is wire material after a hot start, Matusz I see as barely fringe. Cruz is good when he's healthy, but Cabrera will outperform him every year.
Don't forget your strategy and that it worked before. Trading away your stud bats is counterproductive to your goals. Cabrera is almost certain to be one of the best 3 hitters around. I wouldn't trade him for less than 2 certain top 10 hitters. PASS on that crap offer.

Corey Hart isnt helping my cause. And I thinking about replacing Romero with 2 middle relievers.
Adam Jones is quite good, but Romero has been setting the world on fire this season. Your pitching is filled with 2s/3s, so losing one isn't going to kill you, but your offense is rather impressive. I am truly on the fence on this deal, but with a gun to my head I would take Jones, given that there is a reasonable guy on the wire to replace him or the other owner can give you one.
