Dropping Loney - Grab which FA? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Mon Jun 27, 2011 12:09 am

I have a lot of 1B eligibles so I am going to drop Loney since he's not anything super special. Which the below is the best add given my roster? Should I hang onto Loney?

Roger Bernadina
Erick Aybar
Scott Rolen
Derrek Lee
Chris Heisey
Chase Headley
Mark Trumbo

Personally, when Scott Rolen is healthy I think he is the best all-around option out of the players listed, especially depending on how short-term of a lease you are looking for. As far as the long-term option, I think Chris Heisey presents the best long-term option as he should replace Gomes permanently as an OF in the upcoming seasons. I like Trumbo a lot but I think he will have to vie with Morales next season, unless the Angels get rid of Wells and let him DH, which would be a great move IMHO.

I should clarify that this is short term... Either the next few weeks or if the guy is gonna be a good option all year.

Go trumbo for power or Bernadina for a couple categories.

^^^^ completely agree. If you need power Trumbo is your best option, if you need some power and SB's then go with Bernadina. Trumbo can steal some bases too but not as much as Bernadina.

I'm leaning Bernadina ... We count runs, singles, doubles, triples, homers, RBI, walks, sb and avg so he might help me most overall.
