Gunning for Bautista, Lind, or Pence (WHIR)

Postby rjforlife » Sun Jun 26, 2011 6:22 am

10 team 5x5 H2H Keeper, start 5 outfield,CI,MI,UTILITY

A team in my league has told me had desperately wants Ks. I have won Ks every week by vast amounts. There is a deal to be done here. He complains of too much speed so consider that I probably can't get value for speed from him

His players that I am interested in: Bautista($25) and Lind($5)

My pitchers: Felix($32), Verlander($22), Gio($5), Bedard($5), Cueto($7), Chacin($5), Beachy($5), Wandy($6), Morrow($8), Bumgarner($7). 8-o

He told me he doesn't want morrow bum or chacin, he had them already this season. So, what should I offer? I can go after Bautista, he isn't untouchable. My outfield is: Braun($44), Bruce($17), Ellsbury($16), Rios($19), C. Young($12), Tabata($5), Ackley($5) play the 5th spot.

What would you offer? He's a bit of a rookie so he really likes current stats.

Last note is prices, to be added on edit. They are a factor.

Drop a link and I will take a look at yours. Thanks.

I'm assuming the OF is Chris Young and not Delmon. If it's Delmon I don't see any of your OF's besides your top 3 netting you Bautista or Lind without you packaging Felix or Verlander for Bautista. I would go after Lind because he should be cheaper or even Pence who puts up the numbers and wont cost you as much. If he wants K's Cueto probably wont get it done even though he's pitching great without K's. Bautista is see it costing you Verlander.

I like the idea of getting Lind. Gio may be too low. Consider Beachy, whose numbers are good, or Bedard, who is an injury risk.

Thnx for the help on mine. I love the Lind for Gio and Felix for Bautista deal, but I think you are going to have to sweeten it. Maybe add one of your OF for his worst pitcher.

I like the Gio for Lind idea. It is financially neutral and I honestly think that Lind will get you more for your $ than Bautista.

If you can get lind for bedard thats your move.. bautistas value will fall at some point so dont go crazy sending a pitcher whos nickname is "king" for him.. if bedard doesnt work send beachy ( though beachy will be really good so try to avoid that).. lind will be at leat top 15 OF ROS

I completely agree with BlueJaysFan. Try and make both those trades if you can.

I wouldn't dismantle a good thing. I was thinking Lind for Gio as well. Bautista would be great but your pitching is solid and Lind's got good power numbers for cheap.

Yeah, def pursue that Felix for Bautista deal... I agree w/an above post though... ull prob have to throw in and OF which I don't think is a big deal. Your team can def get by w/out Felix. Thnx for the help on mine.
