Seth Smith and Michael Morse

Postby ATLbraves » Sun Jun 26, 2011 12:25 am

What does everyone think about these two players going forward? Do you think they will be able to sustain their offensive production in the second half of the season?

They both have been surprising and Seth is only 28, Michael is only 29, so they could even be potential keeper picks.

Smith sits versus lefties, and if memory serves Morse was sitting versus lefties too.

I own Smith in a couple of deep leagues, but i wouldn't use him in shallower leagues cus the team stats (runs and rbis) will be lacking.

Thanks for the reply, I just happen to have both of them on my team in 12 team league so was trying to see what everyone thought about them for the 2nd half of the season.

if you get a chance I need some help with this, it will be much appreciated:

Morse plays everyday and with LaRoche out for the year he doesn't really have any competition even if he goes into a slump. He's quickly becoming 1 of the tape measure kings of baseball and I fully expect him to be keeper worthy in leagues that carry over more than a handfull of players. Morse finished 2010 with a bang and led spring training in homers so it is not like this is totally out of the blue. I'm in.

Morse is a righty, why would he sit against lefties? Both are legit if you ask me. Smith has always had the talent but for some reason Colorado has been reluctant to give him consistent playing time. I drafted Smith with high hopes after he had a huge spring. Morse is a monster. Has always had it and now he's showing it with playing time. I had Morse and traded him a few weeks back and he is still producing.
