Vetoable?

So I am the commissioner of the league, always seem to be held to a higher standard, but wanted to find out for others not in the league if either of these two trades were vetoable...both vetoed in the last 7 days and I was involved in both

trade one: I sent Morse to a team who has only two power hitters (Stanton and Bautista) and he sends me Ellsbury
- he needed power and I needed steals, he offered it to me and I accepted

trade two: I sent Storen and Santos to a team who wanted to secure saves and lower ERA/WHIP and he sends me D Price

Both trades were offered to me, both teams also stated why they were making the trade and both were vetoed...

I use to use Commish Veto (where they would state their case 5 votes), then changed it to league voting which only needs 4 votes...and no one really gives a logical reason for vetoing it.

Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

It's been said hundreds of times before in this forum and I'll say it again. I'll only vote to veto if there are clear signs of colusion in a trade. If owners want to make a bad trade(not that these are bad trades) let them. There are some guys that will vote to veto just because they are not getting the deal. Try putting the trades through again. I've found that most vetoed trades will go through the second time around.

Agreed. I think there's nothing wrong with the above deal(s) at all

First off, 4 votes for a veto is not nearly enough. You need a majority of uninvolved parties (6), if not more. You've set the bar way too low.

Also, if you're going to use Commish Veto, do what I do and only reserve it for obvious mistakes/collusion at your discretion, and make it clear that "fair" is not a criteria for vetos. Don't have that in place and then let yourself be bound by a vote, you're just undermining yourself.
