Bautista offers

Postby Surfs up » Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:17 pm

Since the news broke tonight about him moving back to third I was sent two trade offers. One drasically different from the other.
I would give.
Bautista,Price, Oswalt , adam Jones and my 10th rd pick in next years draft
I would get
Tex, Lowe,Scherzer,Luke Scott and his 1st rd pick in next years draft
Bautista and Price both have two more years on their contracts after this year.
Tex has three more years and Max has two more years. the others wouldn't be keepers.

The other offer is weak .
I would give
Bautista, Price and my 10th rd pick
I would get
Willingham , Arrieta and his 1st rd pick

I don't have a first rd pick in next years draft. we keep six. As of right now my keepers are Miggy, Pujlos, Bautista, Hosmer , Price, and Hanley. I also have Beachy who i like alot who can be kept three more years.
Both of the teams making offers are on the bottom and probably will stay there so i could get one of the top three or four players.
thoughts? 12 team 5x 5 standard scoring. I will finish top five no matter if I make this deal or not. No chance for first place. NONE, ZIP , Zilch

The top players Avalible in next years draft are Longoria, Wright, Votto, Youkilis, Bruce, Josh Johnson, Matt Cain and Jimenez.

I'm not understanding why you just want to unload Bautista just because a move to 3B.......... I don't like any of those trades for you at all.

Both of those are very weak offers for Bautista + others. Not even worth considering.

Both are very poor offers. Not close to enough to trade bautista.

I know one offer is just aweful. But looking at the other deal it didn't seem that far off to me. I guess what I am seeing is what his 1st rd pick would get me next year. Possibly Wright, Longoria or Votto. Worse case Johnson or Cain. I rejected pne very quickly but thought I would throw this out to you guys . I know in my heart it isn't good enough but thought I would see what you said.
Thanks for the help.
