In a H2H points league, sort of hurting in average and RBIs now and had a guy throw out Ethier as an OF option, he's ranked about 24th in OFers with our point system, but I think he may pick it up some. So is Ethier someone I should target and should I target anyone else on him team? I just picked up Hanley and would be willing to trade him (it's a keeper league but theres few players with contracts on our teams). Anyone have any ideas for trade offers?
My team
C Olivo 1 Fielder 2 Weeks 3 Sandoval S Hanley O McCutchen O C Young O Gordon U Rios (just picked him up and dropped Melky) SP Verlander SP Kennedy SP Norris SP Scherzer SP Vogelsong SP Bedard RP C Perez RP Storen RP Axford
Players im interested in on his team... Ethier, MCab, Cano, Gallardo
Ethier should be easily the cheapest of the guys you are looking at and I think he should help you in average. RBI maybe but not a ton. Your pitching looks good so maybe you could swing a Vogelsong for Ethier? You could shoot higher and try Weeks/Kennedy for Cano. Maybe try Gordon/Vogelsong for Gallardo? I would say the key point is to try to squeeze some value out of Vogelsong or make a nice 2-1 deal where you get the better player. Throw some offers at him and see what he thinks.
Well one of the players I do have a contract on is Kennedy, $1 for 3 years, so probably a no on him. If I could get Gallardo and Ethier together that would be great, now just have to figure out what to offer...
So I was offered ethier, polanco and hellickson (pretty sure he has a 2 or 3 year $1 contract) for my Hanley, sandoval (he has 2 years left for $23 ugh) and vogelsong. Should I counter replacing hellickson for gallardo or should I not sell so low on Hanley?

That deal isn't close. You are paying for what exactly with Ethier? He doesn't do too much. You need to swap Polanco for a better hitter. I actually like the idea of having Hellickson in the deal, so I would keep Hellickson/Ethier in there and just replace Polanco. If you exchange for Gallardo, it's not a good deal at all, you'd still need to upgrade Polanco, but you couldn't likely get much more.

Edit: I'm now leaning toward ethier and hellboy or gallardo or Hanley and bedard or vogelsong, how does this look?
If you can get Ethier and Gallardo for your Hanley and Vogelsong I think this is a good trade, he might not do that though. You will be selling high on Vogelsong which is a big plus, cause I dont think he will be able to keep these kind of numbers up the whole season. And Hanley doesnt seem like he is on board this season. Gallardo is a much more proven pitcher and he also racks up a lot of K's.
He ended up proposing Hanley/Bedard for Ethier/Hellickson and I accepted. I like Ethier for the average and Hellickson for the contract through next year.
