Probably a decent deal. Trout could end up a stud, or he could bomb, that's the risk you take. But you got solid value for him I think.

I'm guesing that you are wondering what people think of the trade. I think that you made out well. While a highly regarded prospect, we don't know for sure how Trout is going to do in the long run. Also,just a suggestion, your title to this tread sounds like you gave up Verlander. A trade is usually described in the reverse.

i'd say you did alright. It looks like JV is FINALLY putting it all together (look at his last month stats). Trout could be great....or not.

I don't think you can beat yourself up for getting that kind of a stud pitcher for the price of a good pitcher and an unproven guy who may not come up til september and then potentially could be brandon wood.
