I have an open roster spot that I want to fill with a pitcher. There are a few out there in the FA pool that I think should be rostered but cannot decide on one. Here they are:
Cahill
Kuroda
Myers
Hughes
Volquez
Vargas
Pavano
Any suggestions or advice about these pitchers would be great. Thanks!

Cahill easily if he gets starts like he did his last one rather than the previous 4 before that.

Probably depends on what type of league you are in (H2H or Roto) and if you are looking to improve any specific category.
I think Kuroda is an under-rated pitcher. He is not going to strike out 10 people a game but posts solid Roto numbers and doesn't have awful games. Volquez and Hughes are both high risk/high reward types with Hughes injury concern and Volquez struggling at the beginning of the year. Both can be dominant.

I agree on Cahill. He may be over his bad stretch.

I am in a straight points league that is -1 for ER +1 for K and we get +3 for a QS so I am looking for whichever guy can give me the most amount consistently. Basically the best all around pitcher but high K's can make up for giving up 3-4 runs.

I'm not a Cahill fan. Kuroda or Volquez would be the guys I'd target.

Cahill will be the fav to get here, but I woudl put up an argument for a the less sexy Kuroda.
