Yahoo Dynasty Leagues?

Postby Mateo de Lorenzo » Mon Jun 20, 2011 6:56 am

Is it possible to do a dynasty league on yahoo? Can we have a minor league roster on Yahoo? I would like to add minor leagues to our dynasty league next season but am unsure if Yahoo will support this. Thanks for any input.

Of the "big sites", CBS Commissioner (the pay product) is the only one I've found that fully supports minor league roster spots. Other ESPN and Yahoo carry minor league players to varying degrees (I think ESPN has more), but you need to put them into spots you can otherwise put a major league player into. So, if you want to have anything like a "farm system" in your dynasty league (e.g. you can carry up to 3 minor league players in addition to your MLB roster), you have to manage it offline.

I'd love to be wrong about this, because I otherwise loathe the CBS product.

Would increasing roster size to include 15-20 additional bench players work? I guess this would be more management on the commish part to make sure the additional players all fit the requirememnt for minor leagues.

How much does CBS cost?

I started a 16 team 40 man roster keeper league on espn this year. Those extra spots can be for mlb or minors its their choice. We keep 30 every year regardless and it seems to be pretty "idiot" proof. I've also emailed espn about adding ML as a designation like the DL where there are certain AB/IP limits to be eligible, but I got the automated " we will forward this request to the site development manager" response.
