Hosmer, Moustakas, Pagan or Crisp? WHIR

Postby juliown1028 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 7:02 pm

Just wondering, who would be the best fit for my team? SBs is probably the stat I'm most lacking currently, but is it worth dropping Hosmer for any of the other 3 when looking at my team?

12 Team H2H, 5x5 Standard
C: V. Martinez (C,1B)
1B: L. Berkman (1B,OF)
2B: I. Kinsler (2B)
3B: M. Young (1B,2B,3B)
SS: J. Peralta (3B,SS)
OF: M. Kemp (OF)
OF: H. Pence (OF)
OF: B. Boesch (OF)
Util: C. Young (OF)
Util: E. Hosmer (1B)
DL: C. Crawford (OF)

You do need more speed, but I wouldn't drop Hosmer since he'll give you the best overall contributions of the four players listed.

I own and have been starting Boesch in a couple leagues but I see him as the bat to drop among the guys you listed. I'm not really stoked about any of the adds but Pagan might net you some steals and I could see dropping Boesch there. But Boesch has been so white hot lately that I'd rather try to trade him for an even better base stealer if I could.

I would not drop Hosmer. I would consider trading Boesch for someone with SB. None of those players are really just droppable; they should be able to net you someone who can steal bases.
