I could keep Votto thru 2013 and McCutchen thru 2012 ... both my Cargo and Bruce can be kept thru 2012. Take the deal? I give: Cargo, Bruce, Hosmer and Wandy I get: Votto, McCutchen, Ackley and Cueto 12 Team H2H. The extra year of Votto probably puts that end of the deal on the winning side. He's also the best player in the bunch. Votto > Cargo Bruce and McCutchen essentially a push Hosmer > Ackley Cueto and Wandy essentially a push Pretty even deal, I'd say.

I can live with front end of deal, but the back end gives me a bad enough taste that I think you need to talk this out some more. Good luck.

I like the deal, but you're gonna be thin in the OF. I think the guys you're getting will slightly outproduce the guys your trading. You already have little depth on the bench, but this will limit your flexibility some too. I think I'd still do it though.

Oh well, I proposed it and he rejected it. Odd since the deal was his idea yesterday and Votto and McCutchen went a combined 0-8... I might be able to move Hosmer and Felix for Adrian Gonzalez in a deal with a different team.

You'd still have 2 aces on your staff and could use the freed roster slot to add another SP based on matchups. I like this trade.
