Werth and Pineda for Tex?

Postby pangbones » Sat Jun 18, 2011 6:36 pm

I'd be giving up Werth, Pineda, Mauer, R Davis, and McGehee. I'd be getting Tex, Bourn, T Hudson, Capps, and Rios. I'm not keen on giving up Pineda, even though I know he will be shut down early, unless the Mariners contend into September. Gettin Tex would limit my use of the utility slot, but it really improves my starting lineup, and Bourn is a big upgrade over Davis. What do you think?

C - V Mart
1B - Votto
2B - Kinsler
SS - A Ramirez
3B - Zimmerman
OF - Pence, Crawford, Quentin
Util - Ortiz, Werth

Bench - McGehee, Belt, R Davis, Reynolds, Mauer

DL - Nathan, Peavy

SP - Lester, Cain, Marcum, J Chacin, Pineda
RP - Axford, Hanrahan, Storen

Bench - J Zimmerman, Kuroda, Floyd, Collmenter, Rauch

10 Team, 6*6 (OBP and K's for hitters and L's for Pitchers), H2H, Keeper (3 players, at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher)

You have to do this deal. You are giving up question marks and getting solid and better players in return. Might not like losing Pineda but Hudson can be a good replacement but getting Tex makes this a winner for you.

I completely agree, this is a great trade for you. Definitely accept.

I am in fvour of moving on this. You have enough talent in places you are moving out, and you are definitely moving up in some other places. Good luck.
