Trade Braun? WHIR

12 team H2H points league on CBS... Do I dare trade Braun?

I Give:Ryan Braun, Bud Norris (who I just use when he goes twice in one week)
I Get: Mike Stanton, Zack Grienke

My OF/U is currently: Braun, J. Upton, Cruz, D. Brown
My (weak) SP are: Hanson (DL), D. Hudson, Brett Anderson (DL), Bartolo Colon (DL), Bud Norris, 2 spots for 2 start SP

As you can see my already unstudly pitching staff is mostly on the DL. So do I trade the best hitter on my team for a SP I think will be studly the rest of the way?

Not enough of a return for one of the top hitters in the game. You're getting two very good players back, but I don't consider either studs like Braun. Norris is pretty decent in his own right as well.

My general rule of thumb is to only downgrade a top-tier bat if I'm getting a top-tier pitcher in return (or two near-top-tier pitchers). I also think you're underrating Norris.

If you're looking for pitching, I'd dangle Braun for a top-5 pitcher or two top-15 pitchers, at least.

You are definitely getting the short end of the trade here. On essentially every trade, I want to get the best single player in the deal (though there are definitely exceptions). In this case, you aren't getting nearly enough to give up Braun.

Sorry Buddy, I am in agreement with others.... I actually feel there is a fair more distance to make up before I deal Braun.
