Is this trade vetoable? WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:16 am

I am in a 12 team H2H league...the first place team offered me Ellsbury for my Morse...He lacks power as Stanton and Bautista are his only power hitters and I need speed...

I accepted it and it was shot down by the league even after both teams involved stated why they wanted to trade...To top it off, I am the commissioner of the league and feel like all my trades are scrutinized.

Was it a fair trade or did they make the right call?

I planned on offering Santos and Morse for Ellsbury next.

I think it was VERY lopsided in your favor, and most would never trade Ellsbury for Morse (despite Morse's hot streak), and would have been more palatable if there was a second or third player he needed for Ellsbury...e.g. I needed uptick steals, was flush in saves, traded Axford, Melancon and Rajai Davis for while I'm not a veto kinda guy, I would have a real had time accepting this one if I'm in that league. That said, if you throw in a closer (if he needs saves, too) that'll help. MAybe one a slight notch above Santos if you have one.

Really lopsided in your favor, in my opinion, but I wouldn't veto it. The other guy wants Morse and you want Ells ... so it should go through. Vetoing should only happen in situations where there's foul play.
