No, of course not. That's why I said current as in right now today. When Johnson returns from the DL he would be ranked higher.

Hanson scares me a little. but even though i rank pineda last, i just need to see him keep up his pace the rest of the season it isnt a sure thing and theres always the innings limit at the end of the season

(Funny how Shields catapulted up the rankings with Sunday's smackdown of Florida.)

You said going forward, so ...

1. Shields (seems to have really turned a corner this year)
2. Kershaw (would have him No. 1 if not for low wins potential in L.A.)
3. Johnson (might be No. 2 if not for injury and risk upon his return)
4. Hanson (pitch counts were already limited to around 100, and they might be lower after injury)
5. Gallardo (inconsistency)
6. Pineda (likely to be shut down in September)
