I wonder if the Diamondbacks have considered trading Pena.
They won't get anything for him right now. They need to at least play him in the majors for a little while before trying to trade him. No matter how good he is in the minors, a guy who has failed time and again in the majors needs to prove he can hit MLB pitching before he has any trade value whatsoever.

I can't imagine Pena having a role on the team outside of being the RH bat in a platoon with Parra. Even that seems like a long shot because Gibson loves him some Willie Bloomquist.
