What to do with Rizzo...WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Fri Jun 17, 2011 9:51 am

So I am in need of a 2B until Ackley becomes eligible and could also use the help at pitching...The following players are available in my league, and I would be dumping Rizzo, if everyone thinks that is a good idea.

Dempster, Worley, PEavy, Britton, Pavano, A Hill, Figgins, J Weeks, Theriot, Carroll, D Murphy

Also...Would you deal Morse for Ellsbury? I could really use the speed, but not sure if that's wise with Morse doing so well

my team (12 teams H2H, keep 4 per year, 5x5)
C - Aliva
1B - M Cabrera
2B - Prado DL
SS - Tulo
3B - Zimmerman
OF - Berkman
OF - JUpton
OF - Morse
U - Choo
U - Rasmus
Bench - Rizzo
Bench - Ackley
Bench - Gordon

SP - Cain / Hanson / Ogando / DHudson / Garza / IKennedy
RP - Santos / Storen

I would drop Jennings before Rizzo. There really doesnt seem to be many good 2b available in your league, but you have to get one. Drop Jennings.

Also, I'd trade Morse for Ellsbury. Your lineup has more than enough power with Miggy and Berkman and Upton.

I would go peavy and then britton. Peavy last rehab performance was outstanding and he should be up this week. I like britton yet he is a young guy and will be inconsistent.

I would for sure move morse for ellsbury if you can get him. Ellsbury is the real deal

I'm surprised Peavy and Hill don't have teams. That waiver wire is pretty decent. Not guys that you'll count on but guys that are fairly serviceable.

I would go Peavy before any others. Next would be Britton. Then consider Hill just as much as you would Ackley. I bet they give similiar numbers rest of the season and you know Hill has a track record for power.

Speaking of power, you have plenty of it. Don't hesitate for a second to get Ellsbury. You need speed and you are obtaining a top 3 option for that. And he could hit 15 hrs this year. That's a gimme. Get that deal done now. You have no idea what the 30 year old Morse (first good half a year in his career) will do rest of the year and you already say speed is where you lack. That seems like a no-brainer.

Good luck and you have a solid team.
