I have been offered two different deals, both of which include me giving away Martin Prado. Are either one worth it?
I am looking for a little bit of speed, hence guys like Gordon and Blackmon on my roster. But I don't need it at the cost of to much runs or rbi.
DEAL A:
I give Martin Prado and Matt Joyce I get BJ Upton and Alfonso Soriano
DEAL B: I give Martin Prado I get Aaron Hill and James Shields
Either one worth doing?
Currently in first place in the league. 8, 9 or 10 in all pitching cats, 6,7 or 8 in the hitting cats.

How are you doing in steals? If you're already in 1st place, you should analyze how speed is going to help your team, and at what cost.
Analyzing the trades:
A) There looks to be something wrong with Joyce. Maybe an injury? He's been slumping big time, but still wouldn't want to give him up as he's been one of the biggest surprises of the season thus far. Soriano is useless so he's just a throw in. Can you afford to take the BA hit with Upton? It looks like you can absorb it with a few high AVG guys in Votto, Hamilton and Reyes, but it's still a risk. If you're comfortable with Gordon at the MI spot then it could be a decent trade as I think Upton is the best player out of the whole trade.
B) Hill is useless in a 10 Team league. His speed looks to be an aberration and his power is invisible so far. Be nice to get Shields as you could slide him in as your #2 starter.
Deal B, needs a tweak, like the previous poster said, someone other than Aaron Hill.
And to answer MrAccoe, I think one of the reasons for Joyce's slump was his left shoulder had a lot of soreness and the Rays manager recommended a cortisone shot in left shoulder. Since Joyce was playing with the soreness for over a week, but I guess it'll just take time for him to get out the slump.
Don't like either team. I don't see Prado on your team? Is he starting? If a bench spot, his position flexibility is very valuable. if starting, I wouldn't give up the downgrade to Hill and you never need to go get two so-so OF.

I would like deal B if Hill was replaced as others have said. I believe he'll be more srevicable in the future, may turn things around. (At least I hope, missed out on Ackley so got him in for Prado). But gaining Shields IMHO is a large gain in your part, and may even be worth taking regardless of Hill in the offer. I think I may take this either way, see if he'll give you someone curretnly better than Hill, or check the WW.
