I don't like it. Looking at your team, you've got a lot of pitchers but not many great ones, so Lee would definitely help you... however you are so shallow on offense, who are you replacing Upton with?

Cuddyer. And then someone else on my bench. I don't like to see Upton go, but I'll still have Hamilton and Tulo as my major offense, as well as guys like Chris Young, Aramis, Uggla...who should give me power in the second half.
I've been looking for that front-line starter for a while now, and Cliff Lee is definitely that.

If you want to do this, you should be able to do Lee+ for Upton.

No chance. The guy already declined this trade once, then re-proposed it to me.

I think you'd be paying too much also. J-Up normally holds more value than Lee on his own. That said if your scoring favors pitching enough Lee is a nice target. Vargas could be easily replaced and to a lesser degree so could Nolasco in a 12T mixer. I'd ask him for a little offense back tho. Playing Upton may free up a hitter from his normal roster that could help a little. Your hitting will be significantly weaker without J-Up IMO.

No way I do this. Pitching is too deep to be giving away someone like Upton, especially when the plan to replace him is Cuddyer. Cuddys playing out of his abilities right now, and Upton hasnt realized his. Lee is good, really good, but I dont think your team is going to be better with this trade, and its probably going to be worse

I agree that Upton is great, and will probably continue to get better, so I feel bad giving him away, but my league points seem to heavily favor pitching. It's a tough call, but I think I need to make the deal.
ALSO, once the trade is executed he will drop Alfonso Soriano and Chris Carpenter. I'm 11/12 in waiver order, but I'm hoping I can get one of them, or both if I'm really lucky.
