Bumgarner for Stanton?

14 Teams in the league - standard scoring 5X5 Rotisserie League. We start 2 C, 2 1B, 2 2B, 2 3B, 2 SS, 5 OF, 10 P (Starter or Reliever) - pretty deep league.

The situation: I am sliding up and down from 2nd-4th place right now - leading the league in Avg, HR, R - 2nd in RBI, and top 5 in SB (thought I would be #1 pre-season!). My pitching is not awesome right now - I am doing okay in K's (4th-5th) and Saves, but WHIP, ERA, Wins are areas I need help.

Someone posted they were offering Bumgarner for a P, and I asked what he would be interested in - he asked for Andrew McCutchen or Mike Stanton. Not really interested in dealing Cutch, but maybe Stanton? What do you guys think? I may shop Stanton or another OF first and see if I get any bites.

Stanton is way too good to trade for Bumgarner. Bum has solid ERA but his WHIP is mediocre, his K rate is good not great, and while his wins should start picking up, they are still going to be hard to come by. Stanton is a titanic beast and can fetch a better price than Bum. I like Bum and it's not a bad trade, but you could do better for Stanton. If you want to get Bum, then I would like to see you get Him plus a pitching replacement for Stanton. Throw the guy Stauffer or E. Santana or T. Wood and get Bum and a decent outfielder in the deal.

agree completely with RJ, Stanton should bring in higher quality talent than just Bumgarner
