Nice add at a MI for those in OBP leagues if still available.

Mariners recalled 2B Dustin Ackley from Triple-A Tacoma. At long last. The Mariners' top prospect since he was taken second overall in the 2009 draft, Ackley was hitting .300 to go along with a .418 on-base percentage and .487 slugging percentage through his first 326 plate appearances this season, and was a noticeably improved player from his time in Triple-A last year. His power is still unlikely to translate to hitter's graveyard Safeco Field, but if you have any sort of a need at second base or in your middle infield, there's no reason not to take an immediate flier on the University of North Carolina product.
any idea where he will be bat in the lineup? I imagine to start he would likely be down at/near the bottom of the order? or with his OBP potential do they bat him 2nd? what type of production are we expecting from him for the rest of the season?
Meh...someone to keep an eye on for sure but I wouldn't waste a waiver pick on him. That park and his lack of anything special...other than potential avg/obp just doesn't excite me.

yep, he's really just a solid player. good at everything, not great at anything. makes for a good real life baseball player, but not much of a fantasy guy.
Gordon Beckham v. Ackley for the rest of the season? Beckham has been terrible, but in that line-up in Seattle and with no real power, I can't see Ackley being all that productive.
