Am I nuts to trade Bautista (Jose not Miguel) :)

Was offered Justin Upton and Zach Greainke for Bautista straight up.

Hate letting him go - but as much as I enjoy having Jose on the team (keeper from last year) - I just get this crazy feeling he will be a good player this year - but not great.

Upton and Greinke are where my question for the group lies - are they worth him ?

I like it. Greinke is near the top 15 if not in it, and Upton is a stud. He provides less than Bautista but getting an ace as well makes this a nice trade for you.

Ill dissent here. Am I the only one that isnt in love with Greinke? Seriously, I know hes on a hot streak now, but the guy has had 1 yr where he was a legit ace IMO. I know he has the raw talents, but hes sitting at a +4 ERA and that isnt an ace in my book, and his current K rate is so high above his career average I dont see it keeping up. I like Upton too, but the best player in this trade is Bautista, so I go with the side thats getting him. When Ryan Braun had his tremendous rookie yr he immediately went in the top round the next yr, I dont see why everyone doubts Bautista. His change in approach at the plate is what made him start hitting that well, not some superficial inflated hot streak.

Is the trade fair? Yeah its pretty fair, you have 2 top players for 1 top 5 guy. If you can give up the avg and HRs and sustain a 4+ ERA then go for it.
