I have Phillips and Neil Walker. Looking for an SP I offered him up and got an offer of Lohse or Nolasco

I countered with BP for Lester and got a "no way".

Am I off base?

Yes, you are off base, but you are closer than he was. What you should need to add to Phillips to get Lester (not much) is much much less than what would be needed to be added to Kyl lohse to even think about Phillips.
