Reynolds, Espinosa, or Smoak

Postby Elephant Riders » Wed Jun 15, 2011 11:23 pm

So I pulled off another heist in my keeper league. I originally offered BJ Upton for Utley straight up and the counter offer was my Boesch/Santos/8TH round pick for his Utley/Gio Gonzalez/6TH round pick.

I cut ties with Beckham and picked up Danny Espinosa until the trade is completed. After that I'm wonder who I should have as my bench hitter.

Espinosa provides some back up for Chase, but he seems like he's back to his old self. I've had Reynolds in this league in the past and I'm not sure I can handle his batting average again. Smoak gives some versatility as well since I can move Berkman to OF when needed.

It all depends on your needs for position. In a vacuum (i.e. Utility), I would take Smoak, but Reynolds will have the most HR and Espinosa the most SB. Espinosa also gives some power and a better average. Let's see him though the next time through the league after pitchers adjust.

Help with mine:

With that roster, I'd prefer Smoak. You need the best bat without regards to position for that spot.

Can you give mine a look?
