I've searched the forums and have found some threads close to this, but wanted some fresh perspective.
I'm currently 1st in a big $ 10 team h2h points fantasy league. Points are typical (1pt for 1b, 2pt for 2b, -1 for K, etc)
Waiver transactions cost $3, which cuts down on add/drop activity leaving some pretty good players on the wire.
I'm currently looking at dropping K. Suzuki. His lack of power is killing me.. Available is Iannetta, Arencibia, and Olivio.
Here's my squad
C - K. Suzuki 1B - Miguel Cabrera 2B - Uggla 3B - Bautista SS - Rollins OF - Kemp OF - Morrison OF - Zobrist UTIL - Melky Cabrera UTIL - Alex Gordon UTIL - Denard Span or Torii Hunter UTIL - Cuddyer, Davis, or McGehee
Bench - Rajai Davis, Jeter, McGehee
It's obvious where most of my points are coming from (Bautista, Kemp, Cabrera) so i'm not desperate for points in any way shape or form. But with those catchers mentioned above on the wire, should I make a move or stand pat and hope Kurt turns it around?
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas. WHIR drop in a link.
For 3$, I stay put because your options arent really much better, but since I dont really play points leagues like this, I am not completely sure. I like Arencibia, mainly because negative points for strikeouts are going to kill you with Olivio, and I think hes got the best potential to get better over the season and currently has more XBH to go along with the same or less K's than these other guys. Buuuttt...Suzuki has only 28 K, which is at least 20 less than the other guys. I dont know if that adds up to anything, but since Arencibia has better K than Olivo, around the same HR, more XBH than the rest of these guys Id go with him. BTW, Iannetta has the least AB out of all these guys.

Great point Trippy on the K's. I took a look at the #'s again and even though Suzuki is not hitting for power, he's not punching out and taking those negative points..
If he can maintain the low strike outs and put some HR's on the board, I may be best off as is..
On the flip side to IronBird's point, JP is owned by 70% of ESPN leagues for a reason... kid has pop but alternatively, he has Molina behind him taking play time, and punches out quite a bit.
