In a 12 team H2H points league (currently 2nd and 1st in my division), it's a keeper league but players in question aren't really affected by contracts. I was offered Kelly Johnson, HRam and Cueto for Weeks, Rollins and Latos. Any opinions? Should I counter? I'm not really interested in Cueto even though I'm a huge Reds fan, maybe substitute Cueto for Vogelsong? I think the guy is very interested in Latos, but I'm worried if Johnson can keep it up and if HRam can redeem this bust of a season.
My team
C - Olivo 1 - Fielder 2 - Weeks 3 - Sandoval S - Rollins O - McCutchen O - C Young O - Gordon U - Rizzo SP - Verlander SP - Latos RP - C. Perez RP - Storen P - Axford P - Kennedy P - Buchholz BN - Lohse BN - Scherzer
His team C - VMart 1 - Sanchez 2 - K Johnson 3 - Headley S - HRam O - Stubbs O - Kemp O - Melky Cab U - Hardy DL - Holliday DL - Prado SP - Wandy Rod SP - D Price (he's got a great contract on him, not gonna trade) RP - Cordero RP - Putz P - Chacin (another good contract) P - Jonathan Sanchez P - Pineda (good contract not gonna trade) P - Vogelsong
Looking at this trade closer I may just counter with a 2 vs 2 trade. Weeks to me (if he can stay healthy all year) is a better 2B than Johnson (who seems to have cooled since his tear). So I'm thinking do HRam and Cueto/Vogelsong for Rollins and Latos? I'm hoping HRam can really turn things around, sort of reluctant to trade Latos though, I think after his 1st 5 or so games he's pitched pretty well.
I agree with holding onto Weeks, he is much better than Johnson...I would offer that 2for2 and see what happens...I would want Vogelsong over Cueto but he may only accept it with Cueto, so just see what kind of reply you get with that first and let us know what happens. Thanks for your help on mine, good luck!
