It's an OK deal. I think you have enough closers and would keep Jones myself, but your rules may favor 4 closers? You have Choo to play in place of Jones but you will have vittually no bench depth at OF. You have way too much backup at 1B in comparison. Any chance he'd send you an OK OF back instead of Minor? Or a better OF back if you also kicked in an excess 1B? Not sure, does Morse qualify at OF in your setup? If so it isn't that bad.

Yes to Morse. I am currently starting Morse right now. I hate Kevin Gregg. I feel he will lose his job. We get 7 pts for a save, 1 pt for k's, -1 for walks and 2pts per inning.
Am I missing something here. Minor hasn't done anything. He's 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.68 WHIP, .299 BAA..... He's not guaranteed any spot once Beachy is back. Beachy beat him out of Spring Training and I haven't seen anything that would prove to me he's gonna beat him out once he's back.
Minor is what is killing me on this deal too. I want Madson bad, I need some closer help. I countered with Jones straight up for Madson. I would give Burnett up like it was first offered but he has to give me something better than Minor. I might even try to get him to put Moustakas in for Minor.

If it's a keeper Moustakas makes a little sense, but you already have Beltre and A Ramirez on your bench...... I see no reason for this trade. You need to upgrade your pitching if anything, so unload some OF to do that. You have Choo on your bench who will turn it up, Morse who is tearing it up. If you moved one of your 3B in a shallow position you could move Bautista to 3B and get one of those guys in your line up. Your starters minus Burnett are good, Soria seems to be back, so you are close where you don't have to bankrupt your team to get someone.
